Here she was, Sonny the leprechaun on the Herman Express train, because she was chasing someone with a bag of jewels. It had happened an hour ago when she was walking around the museum with her new green hat, green skirt, and green shoes. She turned her head and saw a blue duffel bag. The sun was shining from the big windows and she could see something gleaming. Before she knew it, someone dressed in all black hoisted the bag up, slung it over their shoulder, and ran off.
Things happened way too swiftly. Soon, there were sirens and flashing lights everywhere. Sonny wanted to get away from the attention, so she walked out. Of course, no one noticed her. She was a leprechaun, just how she liked it.
Sonny started walking very slowly to her home, a small teapot she had found on the sidewalk. But, Sonny soon changed her mind. She wanted to go traveling instead. Sonny had just stumbled upon a piece of paper with a picture of a red train on it. The writing read, TRAIN TICKET: HERMAN EXPRESS, DEPARTURE TIME, 3:30. When she arrived, Sonny hopped into an opened backpack and zipped it all the way. Minutes later, she could feel herself being lifted up in the backpack, and soon set down on a hard surface.
Sonny double- checked to make sure that the person wasn’t there and she zipped the backpack open. She stepped out and zipped the backpack up again like nothing happened. Sonny was on a small table with blue seats on either side. Then, Sonny climbed up onto the seat in front of her.
When she looked down, all she saw was a blue bag full of gold, emeralds, pearls, diamonds, and coins! That bag from the museum! The one that seemed like such a big deal! But, Sonny didn’t care. She smiled gleefully and was about ready to jump into her dream when someone came and closed it up. The person didn’t notice Sonny at all and walked away.
So, now you understand why Sonny was on the Herman Express in the first place. Now, back to the story, Sonny got really mad about the person taking the jewels that she thought belonged to her. Especially, since she was a leprechaun.
Sonny jumped onto the thief and of course he didn’t feel anything. Then, with all her might, she jumped onto his face. He started shaking his head and tried to swat Sonny away like a fly. In all this movement, the person did in fact drop the bag.
The passengers on the train turned their heads to look at what was going on and someone eventually called the police when they saw all the jewels in the bag.
As he got arrested, he tried to explain about the theft and how he got attacked by a “little creature”, but the police weren’t impressed. The train resumed to take everyone to their destination. For a long time, the jewel thief topic was quite popular. But, no one knew it was Sonny who had saved the day. For she was a leprechaun.
