व्यस्त संसार, खुल्ला निश्वास, पेवा होइन कसैको यो

सम्पन्नता सिर्जनाको, जन्मशत्रु निस्केपछी,
सास्ती बीच संकल्प यो, चेतनाको चुली भा’छ
मात्र संझे परिवर्तन, जागृतिको गीत गा’छ,

शताब्दीको शिखर यो, सुस्तताले भिजेपछी
असमेल यो संभावना, नेपथ्यमा डुबेपछी,
संयमता सँगेलेर, आक्रोश आशा बन्दोरेछ
आवेश छाडी संघर्षले, जिउँदो कर्म बुन्दोरेछ,

औकातमुनि निमुखाको, फुल्दो आशा फाटेपछी
मर्स्याङ्दी र कुलेखानी, टाढा नाता गाँसेपछी,
सुकुल माथी धुलो-धुवाँ, मोहको यो मुकाम भा’छ
जल्दो, ज्यूँदो, मैनबत्ती, दिलको मेरो चन्द्र भा’छ,

जिउने चोला एकान्तमा, अभ्यस्तता बढेपछी
अभाव नैं दैनिकीको, पर्याय यो भएपछी,
व्यग्रतामा प्रतिक्षा यो, मार्ग स्वयं बन्दोरेछ

भनौं भने बोली पासो, डर मलाई ‘कुरो’ को भो
नबोलौं त कुरा साँचो, मनको आगो ‘जुरो’ पो भो

Bird flu confirmed in Jhapa again; emergency area declared

Kantipur Report, KATHMANDU, Feb 20 – With the confirmation of reoccurrence of bird flu disease in Jhapa, the government on Friday declared Sharanamtai VDC and adjoining areas in the district in east Nepal the bird flu emergency area.
The test carried out in the Central Veterinary Laboratory in Kathmandu and OIE Reference Laboratory, Weybridge, in London detected H5N1 strain of the avian influenza virus, the causative agent of the dreaded bird flu disease, in all six chicken samples collected from a poultry farm owned by Sajibur Rehman in Sharamati VDC-2, spokesperson for the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives (MoAC) Dr. Hari Dahal said.
The samples were sent to the laboratories in Kathmandu and London for the detection of the virus following the death of some 150 chickens in Rehman’s poultry farm.
Considering Rehman’s house at Sharanamati-2 the centre, the government has declared Biringkhola in the east; Jagadamba Primary School at Tangandubba VDC-4 in the west; the open field some 500 metres away from Sharanamati VDC-2 in the north; Sharanmati VDC-1, Pathnapada and Mechetole in Nepal-India border in the south the bird flu emergency area.
First bird flu outbreak was confirmed in Kakarbhitta on Jan. 16 and the government had declared emergency in the area that lied within a radius of 10 km from the quarantine office in Kakarbhitta in the district.
The MoAC has said that measures will be taken to control the virus. In the emergency area, all birds, bird products and materials used will the production of poultry will be destroyed.
“The MoAC will start taking action in the emergency area soon to control and eliminate the disease,” said the statement issued by the MoAC today. The MoAC has said that it will take one month to eliminate the disease and virus from the area of outbreak.
According to Dr. Dahal a rapid response team has been sent to Sharanamati and another team will be sent tomorrow.
